The Parliament of Malawi’s previous conference system relied on outdated microphone units and a basic chairperson console, which imposed the following limitations during sessions:

- Voting took up to an hour as the system could not identify individual members or accurately record their votes.

- Determining attendance required manual processes that often exceeded 30 minutes.

- The previous system lacked messaging capabilities and was unable to effectively utilize the large screens in the main conference hall for member presentations.
