The Republic of Kalmykia is located in the south of East Europe and bordering the Caspian Sea to the east. A small part of the Volga River flows through Eastern Kalmykia. Therefore, this area is known for its sunny weather and fresh air. Recently, The People's Khural (Parliament) of Kalmykia opened a new parliamentary hall. We are honored to have been trusted to develop the conferencing solution for this project.
CLEACON digital DSP wired conference system with Channel Selector was initially chosen by the client. The system has a total of 43 touch screen conference units, one Chairman Unit VIS-DVC-T was designed for the chairman of the People's Khural, and other 27 VIS-DVD-T digital Voting Delegate Units with Channel Selector and 15 VIS-DCD-T full digital wired discussion delegate units are available for guests and journalists. All units are connected to the VIS-DCP2000-D conference processor, which enables unified management. In this way, the basic conference requirements have been met.
For the lectern in the hall, we offer the VIS-GSK-F, a flush mount microphone base with touch buttons that works quickly with a gooseneck microphone. Connect and use the multifunctional connection box VIS-AIB to access the CLEASON conference system. Like the other devices in the room, they are controlled by the chairman unit.
VIS-CATC-A camera auto-tracking controller and VW-VM0808 video matrix were installed in the room to accommodate video conferencing functions in more scenes. The PTZ camera on the wall automatically turns to face the speaker when someone turns on the microphone. Thus, the camera can capture the image automatically, simplifying the operation for the staff and making it more user-friendly. Of course, the cameras can also be controlled manually, and we have set up an operation desk to ensure the operation of the whole system.
An operation desk equipped with VISSONIC software allows real-time control of conference processes such as voting, agenda display, etc. The central processor of the conference system, video matrix, and video signal distributor is also located here for easy centralized configuration and management.
A multimedia parliamentary hall is born! Simultaneous translation systems, wireless consoles, or radio microphones can be added. It is also possible to conduct the session remotely or live online, so distance is no longer an obstacle. Feedback from customers so far shows that it is a very smart and efficient solution that helps to discuss the issues on the agenda more effectively, improving the lives of all residents.
